We are extremely happy to welcome you to the World MUN Day Opening Ceremony, with Ambassador Thomas Mayr-Harting as our keynote speaker!
Thomas Mayr-Harting is the Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office for the Transdniestrian Settlement Process. Before that he served as Head of the Delegation of the European Union to the United Nations in New York (October 2011 to December 2015) and as Permanent Representative of Austria to the United Nations (December 2008 to October 2011). In these capacities he had a front seat role in the development of Youth in the UN, the creation of the UN Youth Envoy, UN Youth Delegate system, and has a range of experiences working with youth multilaterally!
In this ceremony we wish to bring you his words on World MUN Day and the role youth play across the world. We also look forward to the words of our Director Philippe Lefevre as he opens this Summit on the first World Model United Nations Day!
